After Thanksgiving dinner, we clean our plates, give hugs, plan the next family gathering, and go on with our everyday lives.
This year, Housing for New Hope helped more than five hundred individuals and families move into a warm, safe, and affordable home. Often these neighbors move from the streets or emergency shelter to an apartment or house. Making their new residence a home quickly adds up. Just setting up the kitchen with simple items like a saucepan, frying pan, four plates, four spoons and such costs at least $150 per household. And making a child’s room comfortable adds to an already strained budget.
This GivingTuesday, partner with Housing for New Hope to provide a Housewarming Kit to a neighbor moving to safe, affordable housing.
• $17 contributes to shower curtains and rods for the bathroom
• $66 helps keep the house clean
• $84 buys bedding and bath towels
• $119 provide for basic kitchen essentials like pots, pans, and utensils for cooking
Like you, we believe every person has the right to housing. Our goal today is to complete 10 Housewarming Kits. You can make a difference by gifting a full kit or gifting a few items at a time. Today, let’s help make a house a home.
