Housing for New Hope currently has an opportunity to expand one of its supportive housing campuses, Carver Creek, to over 100+ units. To do so, we need to come together to tell City Council that we want this opportunity in our community.
Supportive housing is not just affordable housing; it goes beyond a barely reduced market rate to include:
• connection to community agencies that support mental health, physical wellness, employment training, etc.
• dedicated case management, and
• a focus on individuals who have faced long-term homelessness (at least one year of documented homelessness) and who have a disabling condition.
Additionally, participants pay only 30% of their income toward rent.
If this property is not purchased by Housing for New Hope, it will go to a private developer who has no incentive to keep the units affordable or available to our most vulnerable community members.
We need as many people as possible to show support for this project to City Council. Write them an email today! For questions, reach us at [email protected]
