Annual Breakfast - June 13, 2023

Housing for New Hope's official forum on homelessness and affordable housing in Durham.

Civic and congressional leaders, housing organizations, community activists, concerned neighbors and friends, partners, and HNH staff all join to discuss the issues facing our community. HNH will present on new trends it is embarking on and how the community at large can partner with us to end homelessness one valuable person at a time.

Together it is the power of community that helps us connect our most vulnerable neighbors to housing and hope!
*This event is free and open to the public, however pre-registration and donations are welcomed for event planning and to advance our mission.

Join us at our Annual Breakfast event where we will delve into the issue of deeply affordable housing and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Our esteemed panel will feature Ann Oshel, Senior Vice President of Community Health and Well-Being at Alliance Health. Oshel brings her expertise in mental health and supportive services.

We are also honored to have Nicole Lewellyn Schramm-Sapyta, PhD, a neuroscientist at Duke Brain Sciences, will shed light on the intersection of addiction, genetics, mental health, and their social outcomes.

And we will be joined by Areli Barrera de Grodski, co-owner of Cocoa Cinnamon, a local coffee shop actively engaged in addressing the homelessness issue in our community and advocate for a greater need for support in this area.

Together, our panelists will explore the pressing need for sustainable housing solutions and the critical role of supportive services in fostering stability and well-being. Don't miss this enlightening discussion at our Annual Breakfast event.
