James Baker's story took him from the campus of UNC to sleeping in his car in the West Village.

But through his own hard work and determination, and with the assistance of our Re-Housing Team, James now has his own apartment.
His journey inspired him to give back to those experiencing what he went through, and James now volunteers at our Phoenix House.
