A large delegation from Housing for New Hope heads north today for the annual National Conference on Ending Homelessness in Washington D.C.. Included in the party will be City of Durham employee Phillip Mann, formerly homeless Phoenix House graduate, who received a scholarship to attend the three-day conference.
They will be joined by other advocates and community leaders from the Triangle and from other parts of the State.
It is an important opportunity to learn and share best practices with our colleagues from around the country. It is also an important opportunity to visit with our elected representatives, and meetings with Senators Hagan and Burr and Congressman Price are planned for Friday afternoon.
