We are excited to be part of two wonderful ways for you to support our work by enjoying the talents of our local arts community.

Durham Symphony's "War and Peace"
Sunday, October 30, at 3 p.m.
Carolina Theater

Housing for New Hope is excited to partner with the Durham Symphony on “War and Peace”, honoring homeless veterans, to be performed Sunday, October 30, at 3 p.m. at the Carolina Theater.

The program will include the premier of a work honoring the victims of September 11, Threnody for the Victims of September 11, 2001, by local composer and NCCU professor Lance Hulme.  

Sponsorships for this show will benefit Housing for New Hope.

Murphey School Radio Show
Saturday, November 12, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 13, 2 p.m.
Historic Murphy School

In the tradition of the Grand Ole Opry and Prairie Home Companion, the Murphey School Radio Show features performances, comedy and readings by local musicians and writers.

Triangle favorites Lee Smith, Frank Stasio, and Stella will join an all-North Carolina troupe for this old-time variety show benefitting Housing for New Hope and Community Home Trust on Saturday, November 12, and Sunday, November 13, 2011. 

Seating is limited to 150 in the auditorium of the recently restored historic school in rural Orange County.

Proceeds from both events will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Stewards Fund, which has awarded Housing for New Hope a $150,000 challenge grant to support its work.
