Housing for New Hope is soliciting contributions totaling $30,000 to pay for the cost of the solar water heating systems at Williams Square.
By donating funds to support the acquisition of renewable energy property, individuals or businesses that are North Carolina taxpayers will be eligible for 2010 tax credits from the State equal to 35 percent of the amount of the donation.
For example, a donation of $5,000 would receive a State tax credit of $1,750 (35 percent of $5,000).
